ROGER SHORT MEMORIAL FUND NEWSLETTER

This scholarship fund enables current University College, Oxford University students to travel to Turkey to foster cultural understanding and create lasting connections with the region. Distributed annually to donors, past and present Short Travelers, and other interested parties, the newsletter includes descriptions of the upcoming Short Travelers' itineraries, excerpts from last year's Short Travelers' journals with photos, as well as information and updates on the program itself. In recent years, the newsletter has been expanded from 4 spreads to 6 in order to incorporate all the beautiful photography submitted from the Travelers. For the fifth year in a row, I was asked to design the RSMF Newsletter. The three column grid system works well in this format as there is a lot of body copy and it helps the text heavy material feel approachable and legible. With the images spread throughout, I work to create a newsletter that is inviting and a pleasure to read and look at — maybe even something past RSMF Travelers might keep.
