Twiga Group is a strategic and financial consulting firm specializing in the life sciences sector. The team brings experience across the full spectrum of company maturity—from early-stage startups to operationally stable, often publicly listed organizations.

The word 'Twiga' is Swahili for giraffe, the inspiration for the founders to reach higher and see further for their clients.

I had the wonderful opportunity to work with the Twiga team as the company was first taking shape. Inspired by the meaning behind the company name, I knew I had to incorporate a giraffe as part of their logo, and throughout the branding of the company.

I knew the logo would need to be a strong image that conveyed confidence and optimism. Using the combination of deep navy with a warm golden yellow, I combined a drawn giraffe in mid-stride with a tall, condensed typeface stacked to create the height reminiscent of this incredible creature. The walking ‘twiga’ conveys a sense of calm foward motion, unhurried, and assured while the tall, condensed serif lettering adds gravitas and stability, creating an overall impression that is approachable but substantial—warm enough to feel welcoming and solid enough to feel dependable.
